Today’s Full Moon in Aries 9° at 5:06 pm EDT marks the culmination of transformational energies that have been building up since 2008 when Pluto first ingressed into Capricorn.

2020 is the year of The Emperor in Tarot (2020 = 2 + 2 = 4), which is also ruled by the Cardinal sign Aries. With Mars in Aries stationing retrograde on September 9th, 2020, the fiery Aries archetype is officially in the spotlight.

This Full Moon is conjunct Chiron and Mars is conjoining Lilith, not exactly conjunct but with very tight orbs, so this lunar event will be anything but boring.

Transit Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn are both currently making tense square aspects with Mars in Aries. Moreover, Pluto will be stationing direct on October 4th, 2020 after being retrograde for over 5 months since April 25th, 2020.

Pluto is the Higher octave of Mars in Modern Astrology.

If we look back to January 2020 when the Saturn-Pluto conjunction in Capricorn happened, we are now able to understand this major transit’s energy with more clarity and objectivity.

It’s always easier to see things with a bird’s eye view at a later time when we are no longer wrapped up in the initial shock.

The coronavirus pandemic has undoubtedly changed collective reality permanently. There’s no way we will ever go back to the old “normal” again, and the quicker we accept this fact, the easier our lives will become.

If we revisit human history to the last few times that Saturn conjoined Pluto in the 19th century, Astrology points out that this transit coincides with life-changing circumstances during times of heightened civilization such as World War II and the emergence of the AIDS epidemic.

The world was never the same after these events, and while tragedy and pain were unavoidable, they also pushed humanity to new horizons. New ideologies and technological advances emerged. The generations who survived these transits were forever changed by them. Wherever Pluto is involved, inevitable transformation follows.

Saturn, the planet of societal structures; and Pluto, the planet of rebirth, shadow work, and transformation; are encouraging humanity to step into a new way of Being.

The growing pains that we are feeling right now are not meaningless events meant to punish us and they didn’t spontaneously manifest, they’re an accumulation of humanity’s collective shadow.

The Universe is telling us loud and clear that we can’t continue to live life the way we have been doing so because it’s not sustainable in modern life.

We’re being forced to see things for what they really are and to stop ignoring all the injustice, corruption, inequality, and greed that has been going on for too long. The dirt is finally coming to the surface.

The world coming to a full stop this year provides the opportunity to reflect on where we are going in life both individually and collectively. It gets worse before it gets better.

The Aries Full Moon makes us extra aware of the brooding tension in the air that has resulted from adapting to this new reality that has entailed limited mobility, sudden and unexpected losses, the grieving of our old lives, the impatience of not knowing how long this will go on for, and the need to re-define ourselves from the ground up.

Aries is the sign of Self, and with Chiron conjoining this Full Moon, our deepest wounds related to self-identity and survival are being exposed, leaving us vulnerable and raw; yet paving the way to discovering the Soul’s gifts.

Chiron spends more time than usual in Aries (about 8 years) to help us become our own healers and find ourselves in the process.

With Lilith closely joining Mars retrograde in the mix, there’s a strong need for individuality, radical self-expression, passion, autonomy, and entrepreneurship.

However, because Mars is retrograde, your personal will is coming into focus and there might be a frustrating struggle with lacking the drive or motivation to do whatever needs to get done. Ask yourself what the source of this internal struggle is, is it self-doubt, lack of confidence, etc.?

It’s really important to have an outlet for all this Mars energy, otherwise, it can feel aggravating and impulsive. You may find yourself becoming impatient and upset over little things.

The tension needs to be released in positive ways. Use it to work on important projects or channel it physically at the gym.

Something to really look forward to during this lunar cycle is Jupiter in Capricorn sextiling Neptune in Pisces, which feels like a breath of fresh air amidst all the tense squares in Cardinal signs.

This harmonious aspect between Jupiter, the planet of beliefs, expansion, and optimism; and Neptune, the planet of dreams, imagination, and spirituality; will assist with manifesting your most soulful dreams, you just need to believe in yourself.

Aries, being the first sign of the zodiac, is the pioneer that is leading us into the new world that officially begins when the big Jupiter-Saturn conjunction in Aquarius at 0° happens in December 2020 and the dominant elemental energies shift from Earth to Air.

This is the beginning of a new era where outdated global systems will dissolve.

So what can The Emperor Tarot card teach us during this Aries Full Moon? This masculine archetype works with logic, structure, discipline, deliberation, leadership, strategy, and determination. These are the qualities that will shift us to the next phase in life.

If the Tarot card that comes before The Emperor, The Empress Tarot card, asks us to reflect on what we value the most, then with this in mind, we will know what to focus on with The Emperor’s energy.

Do you have all your systems in place? Are your plans aligned with who you are?

The powerful planetary configurations during this Aries Full Moon are asking us to be bold and take action in the pursuit of our goals and endeavors and to reflect on how we’re using our energies and where we are investing ourselves. Now is not the time to be passive and laid back.

The Harvest Moon is creating the perfect breeding grounds for all things NEW. It’s cuing us to be our own initiators. Fight the procrastination and ego-based excuses, just do it!
